It was a beautiful yet chilly Christmas Eve on Piggy Island and everyone was getting themselves ready for the most heart-warming time of the year. Stella’s parents, Aaron & Starla, were kind enough to rent their daughter and son-in-law, Chuck, alongside their family and friends a large and lovely cabin to spend Christmas together, even though it hadn’t been snowing much. Luckily (especially for the birds who love snow non-stop), that little problem is going to change.
In a lovely wealthy mansion placed on the cliffside by the sea, Chuck, Stella and their hatchling twins; Chuck Jr. and Stella Jr., were packing their bags to get to the cabin when Chuck remembered to get one specific thing that he brings with him every December. That certain object he remembered to pack was something incredibly special, in which was named the “Winter Staff” (though he preferred to give it an affectionately nickname “Elsa”), which he got from his golden hearted gypsy mother, Cheryl, as a wedding gift. When he got his precious “Elsa” from a special case, he heard his little son ask him in his cute little voice “Why do you name your wand Elsa?”.
Both Chuck Jr. and his twin sister, Stella Jr., did watch the movie Frozen for at least a couple of times when either Willow or their grandparents babysit them and they already know the names of the characters from the movie. Chuck was a bit unsure about his son’s question at first, then he replied “Well champ, the reason why I named this fine wintery possession after the Queen of Arendelle herself is that whoever holds this lovely piece of work can create and control snow and ice whenever they desire!”, followed by an amazed “Ooh!” by Chuck Jr., making his father chuckle a bit. “Well, come on son!” he said while petting his son’s jet-black hair “Let’s finish our packing with your mommy and sister!” as both Chuck Sr. and Jr. went back to packing with the galah mother and daughter. “You two are gonna meet alot of people on your first Christmas!” Stella smiled to she and Chuck’s adorable, lookalike twins “You’re gonna see both your grandmas, your grandpa, Willow, Poppy and many more that I can remember from the top of my head!” The twins both giggle and babble with excitement as their father calmed their eager mother while packing up a few more things before finishing completely.
Meanwhile in a nice feminine-looking house built in Cobalt Plateaus, Bomb, Matilda, and their three daughters; Maya, Danielle, and Matilda Jr., already had their bags packed for the cabin, alongside with one special bag for the couple’s fourth child; who is still in its egg. Maya was drinking some tomato soup with her father until she spotted a Santa Claus suit peeping from his bag. Being the eldest and most responsible and mature, of her sisters (along with Danielle), she asked her father “Hey, Dad, what’s with the Santa Claus suit in your bag?” while trying to keep a straight face and attempting to resist herself from laughing. Although Bomb was baffled when hearing his eldest daughter’s question at first, he knew she was old enough to understand what is going on. “Well, Maya,” he began “I’m gonna dress up as Santa Claus for the kids. That includes Chuck & Stella’s twins, Luca, the Blues, your sisters, as well as your only brother who hasn’t hatched from his egg yet. Plus, your mother, Chuck and Red are also going to help me with what I called ‘The Great Santa Experience’!”
Maya, although excited of spending Christmas with her family and their friends in the cabin, was now bored from her father’s lengthy answer to her simple question and her only response to him was “Well, good luck with that, Dad.”, along with finishing off her tomato soup. Danielle came downstairs, carrying a recipe book filled with meat-free recipes for Christmas, followed by Matilda comes downstairs carrying a giggling and cooing Matilda Jr. in her arms. “Hey, Maya, can you and Danielle get Matilda Jr. and the egg into the car while your father and I get our stuff in the boot?” Matilda asked. “S-sure, we can do that!” Maya replied before finishing her soup and meeting up with her younger sisters (and unhatched brother). “Wonderful! I knew we can count on you two!” “Bet you can’t wait to see the others in the cabin!” Bomb smiled as he got up and picks up his and Matilda’s bags. “This is going to be a Christmas will never forget!” Matilda smiled as she placed Matilda Jr. into Maya’s arms and the egg into Danielle’s before the family went outside, locked the door before the couple began placing the packed bags into the boot of the car. While Maya placed Matilda Jr. into her little booster seat and Danielle swaddled the egg in a soft blue blanket. “I hope it’s gonna be fun when we get to the cabin!” Danielle said to Maya. “Well, let’s hope your words are right, sis.” Maya rolled her eyes as she finished buckling Matilda Jr. up and both older sisters got in the backseats of the car. Shortly, Bomb & Matilda finished placing the bags in the boot and closed it before they went in the front seats; with Bomb in the driver’s seat. “You all ready?” Bomb asked to both his wife and kids, whose answers were both saying yes in a loud cheerful tone followed by Matilda Jr. babbling cutely. “Well, let’s go!” he smiled as he closed the car doors and began driving to the winter cabin in the mountains.
While that was all underway, Red was driving to the cabin as well with his wife Ruby in the front passenger seat; alongside with their son, Red Jr., and daughters, Ruby Jr. and Riley, and the Eggs in the back. “You keeping a watchful eye on the eggs back there, kids?” Red asked to his excited kids. Red Jr. & Ruby Jr. answered by squeaking out “Yeah!” while Riley only responded with a calm “You know we are, Dad.” with a smile on her face before she noticed something off. “But question: Where is Uncle Terence?” “Uncle Terence is coming too, though he’s gonna be a bit late. He’s picking up some extra guests from the train station” Ruby said to her now concerned oldest daughter. “I see.” Then, they spotted a big and fancy-looking cabin as they drove up to the hill. “I can see the cabin up ahead!” Red pointed out to the cabin as he and Ruby smile and their kids cheer happily while Ruby sees Chuck, Stella, Bomb, Matilda and the others greeting them once they got to the very top and parked the car between Bomb’s black and white car and Chuck’s fancy car.
“Hey, Red! You made it!” Chuck greeted his BBFF (Best Bird Friend Forever) joyfully as Red and his family leave the car and pick up their luggage and the nest containing the Eggs. “Say, you need help with your luggage over there?” Bomb asked. “Yeah, that’ll be great!” Red strained as he lend the heavier bags to Bomb to place inside the cabin. “So, how you’ve been doing lately?” the canary asked to the male cardinal. “Pretty good! Ruby’s finally recovered from her stomach bug, kids are doing fine, and the Eggs are safe from harm!” Red smiled “How about you?” “Good as usual! The twins have been more cuter by the moment, Stella has taken part in the Christmas weeks before today, which is Christmas Eve, and yours truly is becoming more rich from now owning an amusement park!” “Ah, I see!” Red smiled as he turned to Bomb, who had just placed the last heavy piece of luggage. “And you, Bomb?” he asked. “Doing cool as usual! Matilda’s finally recovered from that stomach bug she had for a few weeks and the girls are being their usual selves!” Bomb smiled.
“And how’s your egg?” Chuck asked. “Still hasn’t hatched yet. Though, Tildy and I are hoping tonight!” Bomb smiled hopefully. Then he realised something. “Did you remember your stuff for the Great Santa Experience tonight?” Bomb whispered to both Red & Chuck. “I know Matilda and I did!” “Yeah, I remembered my elf suit!” Red giggled. “And I’ve brought Elsa with me.” Chuck grinned, leaving Bomb and Red silent and confused for a bit until he groaned and said “I remembered to bring my winter staff with me. It’s out of its case and in my pocket.” making Bomb and Red realise what he meant about “Elsa”. “You all know what to do for tonight, yeah?” Bomb asked the canary and cardinal to remind each other while Red and Chuck both nodded in silence. “Good.” The three male birds smiled at their joy giving plan until Matilda called them in with a cry of “Come on boys! Get inside before you catch the death of cold!” and they all rushed into the big cozy cabin.
As the three friends went into the cabin, they were amazed of how big it was; since the inside looked more like a vacation house than an ordinary “cabin”. A majority of the rooms (mostly from upstairs) were highly spacious and the bedrooms with amazing views that are overlooking the snowy mountains far ahead. In fact, the cabin felt more than a house fit for a huge family! “You amazed how big the cabin is, boys? I know me and the rest of us are!” Matilda grinned a motherly grin; while the three boys nodded their heads yes. “I’m glad you’re enjoying this as much as we are!” she giggled “I’m betting you’ll enjoy it more once we do our Santa Experience tonight!” “Well, today IS Christmas Eve.“ Bomb smiled “Where Santa flies his sleigh all night and delivers gifts to good kids all around the world. You did remember to bring your Mrs. Claus get up here, yeah?” “I sure did!” the hen smiled. “Cool! We’ve got everything for the act for tonight!” Red said proudly. “Yeah!” Chuck laughed before getting an idea. “Say, is it okay if I use my Elsa staff now? If I do, it’ll be done much earlier!” he asked to Bomb. “Well, sure! It is Christmas and you can’t have Christmas without lots of snow!” Bomb chuckled. “Sweet! Thanks, Bomb! You’re the best!” the canary chirped cheerfully as he rushed outside and worked his snowy/icy magic with his precious “Elsa”. “This is gonna be the best Christmas ever!” Matilda laughed, as she, Bomb and Red watched Chuck use his staff of snow and ice to make a heavy yet beautiful snowfall all across not only the cabin but the rest of Piggy Island. “It would be if Terence shows up.” thought Red, now getting worried about his big brother, who he know since the day he hatched.
